The roles and responsibilities of the CIO are as follows:
1. Assist Y.B. State Secretary in performing duties involving ICT security;
2. Determine ICT security requirements;
3. Coordinate and manage training plans and ICT security awareness programs such as the preparation of the Penang SUK ICT Security Policy as well as risk management and auditing;
4. Responsible for matters - matters related to ICT security SUK Penang.
